Common Accessories

Two installation kit options are available. The 33456 is one of them. The SoilVUE™10 Installation Kit contains all the necessary tools to correctly install the SoilVUE™10 in typical soils. The kit includes a 5 cm (2 in.) Edelman auger that is suitable for most coarse-to-fine-textured soils and a 0.914 m (3 ft) auger extension shaft that works on both the 1 m (3.28 ft) and 0.5 m (1.64 ft) versions of the SoilVUE™10 profile sensor. The kit also includes a 5.72 cm (2.25 in.) socket with a handle that facilitates the installation by screwing the sensor into the ground. A clean-out tool and carrying case are also included with the kit.
Two installation kit options are available. The 35118 is one of them. The SoilVUE™10 installation socket and handle kit includes the tools necessary to screw the SoilVUE™10 into a 5 cm (2 in.) hole that has been created with a user-supplied auger. Because many users may already have access to a 5 cm (2 in.) auger, this kit allows you to only purchase the parts that you need.

Replacement Parts

SoilVUE10CBL Replacement Cable for SoilVUE10
The SoilVUE10CBL (pn 33592) is the replacement cable for the SoilVUE™10 and can be easily replaced by the user. It consists of 26 AWG conductors insulated in polypropylene in a shielded two-conductor configuration with a drain wire; the cable jacket is composed of black polyurethane jacket. The SoilVUE10CBL has a six-pin weatherproof connector that quickly attaches to the SoilVUE™10 Soil Moisture Profile Sensor. The cable can be terminated with tinned wires or a prewired connector.
This red plastic cap protects the M12 connector for the ClimaVUE™50 or SoilVUE™10 during shipping and extended storage.


The nature of the electronics of the SoilVUE™10 does not cause the sensor to drift over time. Consequently, it is not typically necessary to send the sensor in for periodic recalibration. Because this product is molded, it is not possible to perform much repair work on it.The SoilVUE™10 can only have firmware updated at the factory via an RMA, and it requires that the sensor be recalibrated when the firmware is updated.
