PPP cellular session length

Hi,

I'm seeing a CR1000 with COM111 request the ending and restarting of packet-based (IP) comms with a COM111 modem every 30 minutes. Is that expected behaviour? Would the sessions not be ended and restarted if data transfers were in progress?

periodic session restarts are implemented as a preventive measure to maintain a stable and reliable connection.
