communications server is already running

#RD@2020 Oct 9, 2020 05:32 PM

Hello Everyone,

Urgent!!

I need your help urgently because we are planning on the field/site to set up our system. I need to add the new setup (data collection) on the server. I have loggernet setup on the server laptop.

When I was trying to open the Loggernet software then it displays the error message: "Unable to start program because the Campbell scientific communications server is already running."

How can I add the new setup to the server Loggernet software?

Is it possible to set up only one communication on the server?

Thanks!

Do you have Loggernet Admin installed as a service? If you have Admin installed, there is a Loggernet Service Manager program that you can run to check. I have heard of an instance before where a client computer had the Admin service installed, then they installed regular Loggernet on the same computer. That caused a conflict.

PC200W, PC400, Device Configuration Utility, and Loggernet all attempt to open a communication server when opened. You can get a conflict from having two opened at once.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, I have  Loggernet Admin as a service.

Can you explain in detail how can I add a new setup to the  Loggernet server?

The one program is already running on the server, so I don't want to stop this program.

Thanks!

You may only have one server running on a PC, so you would need to add all your stations onto the one server.
