Technical Specialists (2) - Hydrology & Meteorology

Opportunity to work for one of Australia & SE Asia's leading environmental data acquisition companies. Campbell Scientific Australia (CSA) is trusted in many important environmental applications where reliable and accurate data is critical for research and industry.

On the back of developing our 5 year plan with a clear vision and values developed by all staff, we have experienced strong growth. We are now looking for two dynamic Technical Specialists to join our friendly and professional team and add to our existing technical capability in the markets of Hydrology and Meteorology.  

Our Technical Specialists play a vital role in providing pre and post sales technical support and advice on a wide range of applications of our products in markets including meteorology, micrometeorology, hydrology, geo-technology, mining, industrial and agricultural.

As a Technical Specialist in Hydrology or Meteorology for CSA you are trusted by our customers to provide reliable and accurate technical solutions where measurements matter. From flood warning systems through to remote meteorological stations, we take great pride in the work we do. Our customers trust our products and expertise to provide critical data under the toughest environmental conditions.

What you can offer 

  • Align to our values of Respect, Integrity, Pride, Expertise, and Teamwork.
  • 5 plus years technical experience in the fields of Hydrology or Meteorology or a related instrumentation field.
  • Using these skills, be comfortable in providing system design, pre and post technical sales support and appropriate instrumentation advice for new and existing customers.
  • A base level understanding of data logger communications, including ethernet connections, serial communications, PPP connections, internet protocols and satellite/radio/GPRS/other communications technologies.
  • Write complex data logger programs as part of sold consultancy time.
  • Provide accurate and timely customer quotes to facilitate the completion of orders.
  • Document and build on library files for internal training on programming and technical support practices.
  • Represent the company in a friendly, helpful and professional way at all times.
  • Maintain and develop strong long-term relationships with new and existing customers so that we continue to sell existing and new services to them.
  • Outside of current COVID restrictions, infrequent travel may be required as part of this role, including training at our parent company based in Logan, Utah.
