CR5000
Frequently Asked Questions FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions: CR5000
Can I communicate with your CR5000 through LabView?
Yes. You can use the CSI OPC server and the data socket feature in LabView, or use LoggerNet-SDK with ActiveX controls.
Why don't I need an SC32B to connect my PC to my CR23X or CR5000?
The CR23X and CR5000 have one built into them. Therefore, they only require a cable to connect to the computer's serial port.
I received a compiling error message after inserting a new pc card into the CR5000. What should I do?
First, determine if your new PC card has been formatted correctly. The CR5000 only supports FAT formatted cards, and most new cards come formatted as FAT32.
To Format the card as FAT:- Put the card in your PC card slot.
- Click on "My Computer" from the Windows Start Menu.
- Right mouse click on the drive that contains your card.
- Mouseover your options and click on "Format".
- Under File System, select FAT (not FAT32).
- Make sure "Quick Format" is not selected, then click on "Start."
